Most of these pictures (might have been all) were taken around the Kyoto market place that I talked about.
The market place is call the Nishiki-Ichiba Shopping Street. (http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3931.html). The shopping street is approximately 7km in length, mostly grocery store and super market type drug mart. You can also find a lot of street food here, particularly the special fist size squid balls, they usually sell for 250 yen to 350 yen, depending on the type you want.
For the metal junkies, the last pic is basically an Alien assembled using various junk metal, I can identify some of them as car parts, the rest, God knows what it is :)
This pretty much wrap up our trip in Kyoto, I will start talking more about the city life - Tokyo/Yokohama - tomorrow
